The days of having kitchen cupboard doors bang shut are gone and what a pleasant change it is! Soft-close kitchen cupboard doors and drawers are now a highly sought after feature and is even becoming a much more affordable option these days as well. Some companies might even offer this feature as a standard inclusion or you will likely have the option to upgrade to soft-close. If you are renovating your kitchen and replacing the kitchen cupboard doors/drawers, we would recommend upgrading to soft-close cabinetry as this will raise the value and quality of the kitchen/area.

Changing your old kitchen cupboard doors to be soft-closing is a much easier task to do than you might think, it usually comes down to just replacing your hinges or drawer kits. On some hinges, the soft close mechanism is built into the hinges (you even have a little switch on the hinges if you wish to turn the Soft-close off) and on your drawers it is often built into the runners. How great is that?

If you wish to keep your existing hinges and drawer kits there is often adaptors that you can add on to your existing hardware, it usually depends on the brand of hardware you have though.

Here at The Kitchen Door Company, we provide Blum soft-closing hinges and drawer kits as standard, meaning you don’t have to pay extra to have this option if you are updating your hardware with your bathroom, laundry, office or kitchen cupboard doors.
